  • School bus service is available: Tennoji, Higashi-Osaka, Rokko, Shin-Kobe (Bus fee required)
  • Please download the Health Check Card below, and bring it with you on the first day of school after filling out the necessary information.

Schedule

  • 各ワークショップはスタッフ一名での指導です。
  • ワークショップはネイティブスタッフ、あるいはバイリンガルの日本人スタッフによって実施
  • Lunchは、厨房の方との会話は日本語での会話です。
  • Self Studyは、各児童の小学校の夏休みの宿題に取り組める時間です。小学校教員免許をもつ初等部の日本人クラス担任が教室に常駐し、わからない問題などを日本語で教えてもらうことができます。

The summer school Skills Workshop is a program in which our teachers share their unique knowledge by teaching particular skills and techniques.This is a special program where children have fun while experiencing and mastering special hands-on activities.

Week A (7/24 – 7/28):Arts / French / Mexican Fiesta/ Space & The Future
Week B(7/31 – 8/4):Drama / Music / Chinese / Heroes and Villains/ Ancient Rome
Week C(8/14 – 8/18):STEAM(満席) / Brush lettering

Workshop
Week A

Arts (Full)

Students will learn to appreciate the creativity of different cultures from various eras. Students will explore their creative side in the forms of traditional art and craft.(Capacity: 16 students)

French

Students will improve their French language skills through different games and activities. The workshop is suitable for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
(Capacity: 12 students)

Mexican Fiesta

Let’s discover Ancient Rome. In this topic the students will lean many interesting facts about life in one of the most famous periods in history, including clothes, buildings, chariot racing and food.
(Capacity: 16 students)

Space & The Future

This workshop is all about what the future has in store for us. The children will learn about space, what it takes to live on another planet, as well as exciting new technologies: like the space elevator and the moon base(Capacity: 16 students)

Week B

Drama

Students engage in a variety of drama activities to develop expressivity and perform short scenes and monologues to one another.(Capacity: 20 students)

Music

Performance / summer-related music & songs. Students compose a melody/ song that reminds them of the summer.

CHinese

Through this workshop, students will learn the Chinese language as well as the culture and foods of China using English. The workshop is suitable for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.(Capacity: 10 students)

Ancient Rome

Heroes and Villains

Are you looking for a summer school experience that's out of this world? Look no further than our 'Heroes and Villains' Summer School! We're inviting students to bring their creativity and imagination to explore the path of good versus evil!(Capacity: 16 students)

Week C

STEAM(FULL)

Is your child curious about how and why things are the way they are? STEM Education is an approach to teaching and learning that combines science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math to guide student inquiry, discussion, and problem-solving. In our Summer School STEM workshops, students will learn about the process of scientific inquiry through a variety of fun, hands-on science projects and experiments.  Through STEM, students are empowered to be curious learners who seek creative solutions to questions.(Capacity: 16 students)

Brush Lettering

We will learn how to write using a brush pen. With that skill we will create our own postcards, stickers, scrapbook pages, etc.(Capacity: 16 students)

Mindfulness/Kids Yoga

Familiarizing themselves with the breathing and poses of yoga, students will learn and enjoy the changes in their feelings and bodies through various movements and recognizing the connection between their hands, legs, and trunks. By experiencing the connection between the heart and body through the changes of the rythm of length breathing throughout the body, students will also learn to control their feelings. This course will also focus on discussing different kinds of emotions.(Capacity: 16 students)

Details Students will have a fun opportunity to learn to express themselves through exercising and dancing of all kinds based on COSMO Sports Club's curriculum.
Instructor Info Our instructor started hip-hop dancing at the age of 8. He belonged to his high school's dance club and entered a national competition for 3 years in a row, and won 3rd place during his final year. He then belonged to Nippon Sport Science University's dance club and won 7th place at a summer national competition.

Instructor Info Ms. IYONA started classic ballet at the age of 3, and appeared in various shows in Ontario, Toronto starting 2014. She is trained in many styles of dancing, including hip hop, jazz, dancehall, and afrobeat. She started basing her activities in New York in 2019, and appeared on various shows and media since then. Ms. IYONA currently works as an instructor and performer in Tokyo at venues including big-name music labels.
